Rizegou ~ Jiuzhaigou National Park
Rizegou is the area located in south-west of the Jiuzhai valley. The most of beautiful lakes, including Five-Flower Lake, are located in this valley.
Rizegou has the most variety of sites in all, and people often visit here first.
It is located in the southwest of the park, precisely the area of 18km between Primeval Forest and Nuorilang.
It is no doubt to say that the center of the sightseeing place is here.
Arrow Bamboo Lake
If you take a bus bound for Primeval Forest, you'll see it before the last stop.
The Arrow Bamboo is a lake of 2618m above sea level, 6m depth, 170 thousands square meters.
This lake is named after bamboo fleches growing is this area.
It is a lake at 2584m above sea level with 14m depth. Its water is clear, and you'll see some fish.
On the day with no wind, it reflects the forest on the surface of the lake.
Long ago, in this area was infested pandas looking for bamboo.
The lake has 5m depth is placed on 2471m above sea level.
Five-Flower Lake is the highlight representing Jiuzhai valley.
Since calcareous containing magnesium and copper precipitate and various algae is growing in the bottom of the lake, variety of colors are produced beautifully.
The tint is incredibly beautiful.
If you see its mystic sight once, you'll be convinced "This is the one and only".
Pearl Shoal Waterfall and Mirror Lake
At sea level of 2433m, Pearl Shoal Waterfall is 21m tall and 270m width.
The moraines and collapses from the glacier shrinking period were calcified.
The calcification is enhanced and heightened, and then forms the waterfall looks like the crescent moon.
The wide water curtain, pouring down from the top, is grand and splendid.
The mirror lake reflects sky and mountains as if it's an actual mirror. You'd better come here at the very early morning before it becomes windy, so that you can see the mirror-like-lake without ripples on its surface.
